An important training opportunity offered by ATSA is integrated rice-fish cultivation, often integrated with IPM vegetable cultivation. Impacts can be substantial. Training was implemented in close collaboration between the ATSA staff, national IPM Program, the Department of Fisheries and Provincial and District Agriculture Offices in Prey Veng Province with the following impacts.

1. 26% higher rice yields

2. 1.9 times the income of fish alone

3. additional net income of  85,700 Riels form vegetables

4. 3.6 times the combined income of rice alone with an overall return on investment (ROI) of 325% Farmers also noted overall decreases in farm chemical use and expenses, an increased availability of food for the family and community and greater respect from neighbors and community members.
